The Richard Burton Archives is based in the Singleton Park Library at Swansea University. It preserves and makes accessible records of local, regional and national significance:

• the South Wales Coalfield Collection, including the National Union of Mineworkers (South Wales Area) and other trade unions,
• the Richard Burton Collection, papers of the famous star of stage and screen,
• Welsh writing in English collections, such as Raymond Williams and Ron Berry,
• the Local Archive Collections of papers relating to individuals, families and organisations in the Swansea area,
• The corporate and student records of Swansea University.

History Day 2021 contributions

• Image Gallery: Showcasing images which highlight the impact of the copper industry on Swansea and its environs, and the Lower Swansea Valley Project, which aimed to re-nature and regenerate the area.
